Hello, I am currently a freshman considering switching from electrical engineering to applied math. Looking at the TAG page for applied math, it says this at the bottom of the page:

z) This articulation may not be approved to satisfy requirements for the
College of Engineering. Refer to an Engineering major page for College of
Engineering articulation information.

I'm not entirely sure what this means. Do I have to take more classes besides the GE and the courses listed on this TAG page?:

ASSIST Report: EVERGRN 12-13 UCD Articulation Agreement by Major

It’s saying you must take The ENG CS courses when you transfer to Davis. Also if there is a Non Articulated Course / NonComparable Course you can take those when you transfer as well.

You don’t have to take those courses specifically when you transfer but try your best to get most of them done.

So besides those classes, what else would I need to take to transfer? 2 courses of english and 2 courses of social science? I will definitely be done with all the available classes on there because I’m currently enrolled in math 73, completed CIT 20 last semester, and will be taking the 2 econ classes in Fall 2013 and Spring 2014.

Nice! Yeah the most important factor they’ll look for in general transfers are

2 English Courses

1 Transferable Math Course (Finish most of your Math Pre Reqs though)

3 Courses in Social Science (MacroEcon, MicroEcon, Pysch 1 or PoliSci)
(9 Semester Units or 12-15 Quarter Units)

And complete the rest of IGETC.

But science your a math / engineering major they most likely want you to complete as many math courses as you can

I think you’re set!

Well my goal is to transfer in 2 years, basically enrolling at a UC in fall 2014. The problem is I’m not sure if I can complete IGETC in time. I believe I can finish the social science with the 2 econ classes + a sociology class I last summer. However, I don’t think I can finish the arts and humanities portion of it because I plan on taking some programming classes in order to apply to other schools. Also, would I complete the physical and biological science portion of it with Chem 15 and Chem 1A? Both are UC-transferable and both required lab.

I think for all math and science majors they are fine with you not completing IGETC as long as you just get your Chem classes and math classes and your two english classes done. Those should be your highest priority.
