Applied Mathematics B.S. vs Mathematics/Economics B.S. Major at UCLA

I am thinking of going to the financial world (more towards the fund manager), and thought Applied Mathematics would be the best choice for me as an undergrad, but I just found out there is a Mathematics/Economics major at UCLA. Should I choose Math/Econ over Applied Math since Applied Math is more towards science research?

I’m currently at Irvine Valley College, transferring in Fall 2021, and already took econ 1&2, current GPA 4.0.

Or would it be better if I do Math/Finance?
