My son applied to U Delaware on January 14. Anyone know when UDel gets back to RD applicants? For what it’s worth, his stats are as follows:
OOS
3.35 unweighted GPA, with very strong upward trend
32 ACT
2AP classes, but now attending a community college as a HS student (there is a program in Minnesota that allows HS students to do this. And he had a 4.0 GPA 1st semester in CC)
He applied for Chemical Engineering. What are his chances?
My son applied Chemical Engineering on January 8th. He’s in-State with unweighted 3.98 GPA and 1170 SAT’s. He was accepted into Engineering Undeclared on Jan 25th. A much faster response than anticipated. He had great grades, class rank, APs, etc. but weak SAT’s so we’re happy with the Engineering Undeclared acceptance. 3.35 seems a bit low for GPA but 32 is a strong ACT score. With the strong upward grade trend I think chances are probably good for at least Engineering Undeclared though OOS is a more difficult acceptance path than in-State.
My son OOS applied Jan 15th and heard back on Feb 8th. Accepted to Civil and Env Engineering. ACT 35, GPA 3.87W
My son applied for Chemical Engineering and had is application in around 11/1. They requested his mid year grades in late January and he received his acceptance letter on 2/15. We are OOS He has a weighted GPA of 5.87, SAT 1510 and ACT 33. He has 6 AP classes and is an Eagle Scout and a lot of extra circulars. Waiting for information on any Merit Aid and honors college.
My son was admitted into Materials Science and Engineering, his 2nd choice major. Thanks to all for the info.
@Bay_blade2000 Congratulations.
We got to meet the chemical engineering professor during Honors weekend. My D was interested as a minor. The professor was awesome!!
