Applied undecided, BUT want to switch my mayo

Major* sorry, haha

To St. John's University in New York. The only problem is, the major I want is Econ and Finance, which is based in the Peter J. Tobin College of Business. How do I go about switching to this? Is it possible that I may have to re-apply? Should I just wait it out and join when the time comes? How do I do this?

Please help!

Bump… I need help. Please haha.

What does the college website say? Do you apply to a particiular school or program, or to the school overall while indicating your preference? Or have you contacted the admissions office for guidance?

Well it’s all one college but I applied to “St. John’s Queens campus,” as an Undecided. So it’s not like I would be “switching” majors, I’d just be picking one. The Peter J. Tobin College of Business has offices in both Queens and Manhattan. I haven’t gotten ahold of my counselor YET because of the holidays. But thanks for the response anyway.

It’s irrelevant in your case. Majors won’t impact your evaluation whatsoever.

I understand that. My question is how will I be able to switch?

I would like to know this as well, because i got accepted to Rutgers-NB as an undeclared major, and now I want to switch to one as well. I think you have to contact the admission guidance.

Yeah I’m not sure. I mean we both entered in as undecided. Worst comes to worst, we can probably just switch whenever we have to. Still I’d like to get started on my major as soon as possible. It’d be nice to have a few internship opportunities.

Since the program you want is at a different campus, email admissions NOW, and call Tuesday.

No CPU it’s not at a different campus. There are some programs of study that are but it’s all within the same university.

You applied to the Queens campus but the program you want is in Queens and Manhattan, so you should still contact them because it is available in two places. If they don’t admit you to Queens you could be admitted to Manhattan.

Ok thanks man. I’ll give it a go. I e-mailed admissions last night.

Glad to help. I’m a girl btw :)

Haha oh sorry- Thank you ma’am*
