Applied with only 2 years of Spanish

So I applied RD to NYU, and while waiting on my decision I’ve been wondering if only having 2 years of Spanish totally disqualifies me from acceptance. I never really talked to any admissions people about it, but their website says 3 years of a foreign language is required.

I’m a pretty solid applicant in other areas (I spent 4+ years in most extracurriculars, which I hope shows commitment), so I just… ignored that detail and applied anyways. What do you guys think?

I think it is just recommended, not necessarily required. If the rest of your application makes up for it, then I wouldn’t really worry about it.
