OP is a transfer, right?

Sign up for dining later. Or if you sign up now, you can always change it later  The policy is after first/second week of classes, you can’t downgrade your meal plan, but you can always upgrade :)

I would say start with something like 14 meals per week or something similar. If you are going to sign up for the west campus ones, then think how much BRBs you would need. In other words, how often do you think you would go back to west to get your meals?

Can someone please explain what the BRB’s are? What does it mean that by paying 2-3k for a semester’s meals gives me 400 dollars of BRB’s? And why do the cheaper meal plans offer more BRB’s?

big red bucks (BRBs) are money you can spend at many campus food places, including Trillium, Libe Cafe, Synapsis, Martha’s, and the convenience stores in Noyes and RPCC. (there’s more, check their website.) in a cheaper meal-plan you are getting more BRBs because if you’re eating less meals in the dining hall, they assume you will be buying more meals for the a la carte places I just mentioned. you pay a fee of few thousand bucks and get 400 BRBs because you are also paying for all your dining hall meals with that fee.

BRBs is an account that can be used to purchase food a la carte from several on campus site. Meal plans with fewer meals give you more BRBs since they expect that you will acquire less food by swiping your card at all-you-can-eat places and instead use the BRBs for quick bites to eat.
