Is it wrong or unethical for me to apply to colleges that keep sending me emails and junkmail just to stop them from sending it to me. Will it hurt others chances at getting in if I apply and am accepted. Ex. Using Brandeis' Blue Ribbon Application because they send constant emails about applying through it.

lol, you mean like the ones that send you all these mail about how you don't have to write essays, pay fees or anything? I'd rather not, cause it's waste of time and waste of postage.

I sort of did. There was this college that kept calling me all the time, sending me stuff, etc. I finally gave in and applied. It was free, so I figured what the heck. They'd make a good safety school, anyway.

lol if i sent out spam mails and someone actually replyed with them, id think they are too stupid to go to my school lol. seriously, though, dont apply to stupid schools that send out spam. it tells you a lot about how good the school is if they are the snail maile equivalent of email male virulity drug ads. i think there is some federal mandate saying you can stop them from sending you spam, kinda like the do-not-call registery.

Many good schools send out recruiting mail. I got spam from Ivy schools. (Ironic, because I suck)

Why in heavens name would you waste your parents' money on applications to colleges you wouldn't consider attending? And why waste the adcom's precious time. I don't know any senior who has the luxury of extra time to apply to schools just for the reasons you list.

First there free to apply to. Second it doesnt take that much time since your not writing an essay and a third of the information is filled. And third if they are gonna annoy me why not annoy them?

haha good reasoning.
