Apply to UCLA with non-impacted major better chances than busEcon?

sorry wrong area.

forgive the simple question---but why would you apply to a different major than what you want to study? I mean it may be very likely you may never be able to transfer into the department you really wanted, and then you would be attending the school with the "golden ring" always out of your grasp. In that light, wouldn't it be better to attend another college with the major you want? IMO...You may want to rethink the strategy.

but the things is i don't know about double major, some UC offer it doesn't but i don't really know since i don't really ask my friends about it. Like i was planning to take a less impactive major when applying to LA but then when i get admitted I will try to do the double major thing and if possible to even fully transfer to the major im intended instead.

Like I'm planning to state that I'm intended for Global Studies but the real major is Business Economics. So maybe I thought I can do double major with Global Studies and Business Economics at LA.
