Applying as a Transfer from AU to Georgetown (MSB)

Hi! My name is Mark and I'm going into my sophomore year at American University. I have decided recently last Spring semester that I want to pursue a Business degree rather than the original Economics B.S I was looking to achieve and want to pursue a better business education than that being taught at American University.

I am only going to be applying to Georgetown because I still want to remain close to my AU friends. I pledged an off campus fraternity in the Fall and was able to be a major part of the fraternity's re-chartering and new found campus recognition. I have built great bonds at American University but really want to give myself the best opportunity at the best education.

So anyways I'm asking this enlightened forum for their opinions on my chances.

I have a 3.3 at the moment but with next Fall's classes that should be put up to a 3.4-3.5 before applying.

SAT
Math 730
CR 680
W 700

ACT 30
HS GPA 3.44

I have already finished an Economics minor at AU in my freshman year. I re-founded the Sigma Alpha Mu chapter at AU and was the original Recruitment Chairman and have now taken on the role of Treasurer/Exchequer for the Fall of my sophomore year. I have helped organize philanthropy events for my fraternity as well.
I am looking to apply directly to MSB since I am seeking a business degree and look forward to hearing some opinions! IF any more info is needed please send me a pm and I'll be sure to respond asap.
Thanks!
Mark

Forgot to mention three internships that might have some sway.

1.) Before college I worked at a small biochemical business as a Accounting Intern during the summer
2.) This summer I am working for a small mortgage company
3.) Have secured a SunTrust Bank internship in the Fall in DC

GPA is definitely on the low side.
Georgetown say that the average accepted student has at least 3.7 GPA so I wouldn’t count on it. Plus, admission to MSB is notoriously hard.
The internships and your experience should add to your applications though.
Why not stay at American? They have a pretty good business school?
Do you have any other reasons to transfer than to get a “better business education?” You need to have a better reason in order to transfer.
