Applying Early for GT

Would applying for GT at the Oct. 31 deadline increase my chances of getting into Georgia Tech? I won't get my senior grades by then.
Do you think that will hurt me since I'm taking 6 APs this year?
Should I go with the early deadline or stick with the regular Jan. 15th deadline?
Also, if I'm not really competitive among the pres. scholarship group, will I be rejected right there and then, or will they put me down with the regular admissions stack to evaluate?
Thank you.

My son applied in October. He was not selected as a Presidential Scholar, but he did receive his acceptance letter to GT in mid-December.

What do you gain by waiting to apply? You report the classes you are taking your senior year - you don't have to send the transcript showing grades until the summer after you graduate.

Last year my good friend applied in October 30th and recived admitting letter on January 17.

As both 2sonmama and Windley have alluded, Georgia Tech has a rolling admissions system. I sent my web application on October 30 and received my acceptance packet on November 22. A few weeks later, I was notified that I had not been selected as a PS semifinalist.

I advise you to send your application by the October 31 deadline. They’ll make their decision accordingly.
