No, I wouldn’t take Mat II. Your test scores are fine, but your GPA maybe on the low side. What I would advise you to do is to do really well the first quarter of senior year and submit interim grades to Cornell.

Yes, and I am not sure if by getting high 700s would really help you, so in this case less is more when it comes to tests. Focus on your grades.

On the other hand, for other schools, like Georgetown, you may need a third SAT II.

What if you don’t get into Cornell? What would be your plan B? Even though my kid ED at Cornell, she had everything ready to apply to other schools. She had most of her apps ready for other schools ready before Cornell’s ED decision came out.

^ GREAT advice from oldfort. You need to have plan B ready to go, along with plan C, etc. Cornell is experiencing huge application surge, like most great universities. You never know. Send in your Cornell stuff ED, then act like there is no Cornell app and fill out LOTS of alternatives that you would be happy with. If you are rejected or deferred from Cornell, it will be hard to gather up the energy and enthusiasm for other schools in early December. Plus, you’ll probably be starting high school exams. Plus, you’ll have to get the college counseling office to act on your new applications at the 11th hour. Be as prepared as possible for alternatives. Have all the wheels in motion…just in case.

Who’s test scores are better in terms of getting into cornell for engineering : mine are math 2 770 and ACT 33 - math 35 English 35 reading 29 and science 31.
