I will be applying to attend University of Maryland - College Park in August for the Spring 2011 semester. Is there any difference in acceptance for the Fall semester as opposed to the Spring semester? For instance is there a higher acceptance rate in the Fall as opposed to the Spring semester?

Currently I have a 3.8 GPA and plan on bring it up in the coming semsters (summer and fall). I'm an active member of Phi Theta Kappa National Honor Society and I work full-time during the day. I will have over 30 semester credit hours so my high school transcripts and SAT/ACT scores will not be needed. I'm not sure that I will be accepted based on the aforementioned but I'm hoping I will be. I'm an older student, will be 25 if I am accepted and I start in the Spring. My major is Accounting so I will eventually apply to attend Smith once I have earned 60 credit hours.

Any feedback is appreciated!
