Applying for the class of 2018 (College starts fall of 2014)

28 is like 90 percentile for gods sake…

@EarlyAction95 that certainly sounds nicer :stuck_out_tongue:
Here’s to hoping the rest of my app is good enough because my transcripts are really good and I really put a LOT of effort into my EC’s.
Oh and has anyone gotten a Harvard Interview yet? I just got an email about it.

@pkteen A few of my friends are done with their Harvard interviews.

Guys any idea when will regular decision applicants for Harvard be called for interview? I will submit my Harvard app in the end of Dec :)

@hassan100 I’m regular decision.

My struggle is over. Just recieved my Sat score … and its way less than expected. Time to inform my father … :’( i feel so bad right now. Gap year, you are the one

I took the SAT on November 2nd, and it says “Not yet available”, so I’m freaking out right now. On the upside, I was just informed that I have been shortlisted for an interview with Yale-NUS!

I don’t know what’s up with the college board. Many people have “Not yet available” instead of the scores :/

collegeboard has been messing up a lot this time. The entire Shalimar centre in Lahore hasn’t gotten its score yet. I got mine though: Math ii 790 and Chem 780. Might give literature and physics in January.

Ah, yes, I took the SAT at the Shalimar Hotel site. It was a very poorly planned and managed examination, and the site was an absolute crap-hole. I’m not surprised the administration screwed something up. Any word on when scores might be released?

My friend, who took the SAT in the Shalimar hotel, just recieved the message from collegeboard that his scores has been cancelled. He will have to give the SAT again on the makeup date -_- Bloody ETS system…

Cancelled? 0_o maybe he himself asked collegeboard to cancel it within 5 days after taking the test.

No… he had the same “not yet available” problem.

Great… I’ve been scheduled for a makeup exam on the 30th. Collegeboard didn’t even send an email explaining the situation. Only after emailing customer support did they inform me of the fact. I have to ask, if there was such a massive administrative blunder as to render all exams from a sitting invalid, should we not have been informed well in advance of the score release date?

@flyboy This is what happens when the idiocy of the collegeboard is garnished with a dash of Pakistani ineptitude. In any case, it was the collegeboard’s duty to have informed you but I am pretty sure that the collegeboard doesn’t really care about what the Pakistani people think of them. We are ‘unimportant’ after all -.-

Wow. Quite the conundrum you got there.

When will guys be sending your app to ivies?
Have anyone of you scheduled for the interview?

Hassan, I’ve sent all of my apps. Ivy-wise, I applied to Harvard, Columbia, Yale and Dartmouth. Gotten interviews for Harvard and Columbia. Applied Columbia ED.

Ok, so this is my first post on CC. I applied to Cornell(ED) and can’t get my mind off one thing: my ACT writing score. Got a composite of 33(ALHAMDULLILAH) but messed up the writing and got a 6. I have a 8 in my previous attempt, but will they superscore? Also, I was dumb enough to send them the previous scores just on 22nd, so does anyone know would Cornell receive it in time(They asked for everything to be submitted before 26th)?

P.s everything else on my application is up to the mark(I hope the Dean thinks likewise :P) plus I’m a gap year student.

Thanks!

Wow u ppl got some really nice scores.
