Well, I haven't applied yet, is it too late? I'm out of state and planning on applying to Aerospace Engineering. People are talking about how late November is, so do I have a shot at all applying late December?

Applying early is always better, but this peristent rule of thumb that anything after November is "too late" is misleading and does prospective students who read this site a true disservice. Yes, applying early ups your chances, because oftentimes schools tighten down in January-February and start being more selective. However, it's not the kiss of death to apply later!. A lot of students, particularly out-of-state students, get their apps finished up over the holiday break.

You look like a strong candidate. U-M continues to make admissions decisions throughout the year. I say go for it.

Well, I'm glad it lit a fire under your tail. But I think it would be a real tragedy if people didn't apply to schools because of this fairy tale that no one gets in if they don't apply by 10/31.
