I am a senior in high school and am planning on applying to an in-state college that has the major and everything I want at it. What I’m wondering is, is it alright for me to wait and apply after my first semester of senior year to help improve my GPA? The priority application date for scholarships is December 1, but the final application deadline to receive scholarships is February 1. So, is waiting to apply once I get first semester high school senior year grades worth it? Is there a priority deadline because scholarships run out or something along the lines of that? I just want to get my GPA for admissions to this college that I really want to go to (it’s my dream college). Thank you all for any input on this matter.
What state are you in? Some states are more focused on sophomore and junior year (like California).
@alexameagan21 Missouri.
Bump.
This is a good question to take to your guidance counselor. The people at your own school should be familiar with the in-state application process.
