<p>I don’t think you understand what I’m saying. A student who is considering the military after college would almost certainly not even look at Emory. It doesn’t have the built in support that schools with a native ROTC program offer, and though it’s only 7 miles from Georgia Tech, the drive back (can’t take the Stinger Shuttle since PT happens very early in the morning) would be in rush hour traffic. I’d compare it to a prospective earth science major at Emory. Sure it can be done via the ARCHE program, but the time commitments, lack of study groups, etc are such that a student interested in the geosciences would be best served going to a school that offers a native geology major. </p>
<p>Students interested in OCS or other post college commissioning routes who want to do the portion of ROTC open to civilians would be much better served going to a school that offers an on campus program. It’s easier, and plenty of schools similar to Emory offer ROTC.</p>
<p>So again, why is this question relevant?</p>
