Applying to NYU as an international student

Hi everyone. I am an international student planning to apply to NYU for the Fall 2017. I took the ACT and my score was 28; I know it is below NYU’s average but English is not my fist language. My “GPA” (in my country we use a scale from 0 to 10) is 9.8 and I have taken some classes of programming at my school, as well as calculus. I also have some extracurricular activities, although there’re not many options at my school: president & founder of school’s only club, a robotics project with a professor, and English courses (of course).

Do you think I stand a chance of being admitted just by the look of this (I know essays and other things also count).

I it helps I won’t be needing Financial Aid.

NYU is test optional for international students. Do not send NYU your ACT.

They are used to dealing with international students, so I wouldn’t be concerned. It also is very good that you don’t need financial aid!
