I was reading on CSU Mentor that some CSUS accept lower div. transfers. But on the SJSU website it says they don't accept anyone lesss than 60 semester units. Can I make a special appeal? I had a 3.4 gpa in high school and currently a 4.0 at CC for my semester I took in the summer. I am taking 12 units, which I speculate will all be A's. Is it possible? I want to go to SJSU for computer science, Cal Poly would be cool to go to also. What are my options?

If you are talking about Fall, 2014, SJSU is no longer accepting any undergraduate applications <a href=“Cal State Apply | CSU”>Cal State Apply | CSU; , so it doesn’t matter.

But, for future reference, from the page YOU linked is the following statement:
[quote=SJSU Admissions]
**Due to enrollment pressures, many CSU campuses - including San Jos

From the page I linked, it has contradictory information. On the bottom is says they don’t accept lower division transfers, but above it is giving criteria of becoming a prospective lower division transfer?

They give the California State University policy, which is the minimum standard that applies to all 23 CSU campuses. Each campus is free to determine a higher standard (but not a lower one). Then it goes on to give the SJSU standard which is that: they do not admit lower division transfers.

As mentioned however, it doesn’t matter because SJSU is no longer accepting ANY applications for Fall 2014. You have to wait until next year regardless.

Another note: You mention Cal Poly - both Cal Poly campuses are closed to undergraduate (including transfers) applicants as of yesterday.

alamemom is hitting everything on the button here. If you still wish to apply to SJSU or Cal Poly SLO, you will have to wait until Oct 1, 2014 (application opens for Fall 2015 transfers). By then it may be likely that you have 60 semester units and you will be considered an upper-div transfer applicant anyway.
