Try and compete in some prestigious competitions (ISEF, Google Science Fair, AMC, etc.) that will help bolster your application and help you stand out. Btw those are just some ideas look for a competition or activity that is prestigious and pertains to what you intend to study.
Do you think my application stands out at the moment? Cause psychology isn’t really a competition like, thing.
After talking to accepted students and reading the stats of applicants who were accepted this year as incoming freshmen this fall, it’s about showcasing your genuine love for learning and what you do as an individual/ what you have to offer. As for competing in competitions, there were plenty of people who did so and did not get in. Focus on what you do best, where your skills lie, and make that stand out when you go to complete your application.
There is no recipe to being accepted. I watched peers in high school get rejected from Stanford but go on to get accepted into Harvard or Yale. Acceptance is truly a numbers game…be genuine and honest. Any preconceived notions about the Stanford admissions process need to be thrown out.
Honestly, you’re off to a great start! Stay on track and please, do not be deterred by speculation. Do not mistake correlation for causation. Have confidence in what you bring to the table as an individual, and you may be pleased by the results!
Best of luck to you!!!
