Applying to state schools

I saw this on the QB website yesterday. So we can apply to state schools??

Exceptions to the QB Early Application policy
"Students may apply to their home-state public college or university with a non-binding early application option, as long as applying to QuestBridge does not violate that college's policies.

So does this mean I can apply to schools like UT Austin??

I applied to UF, so yea I’m sure it’s fine if it’s non-binding and a state public school.

You can only apply to your home state publics. And, obviously, if you are matched you will need to immediately withdraw all your outstanding applications.

what about out of state colleges like UC’s?

I would really like to go to Berkeley. I’m from Texas.

It says “home state”. So that is not UC-Berkeley for you.
