Applying to transfer to the University of Texas at Dallas from University of North Texas

Currently, I am attending the University of North Texas. However, I recently applied to transfer to the University of Texas at Dallas. I completed my Associate’‘s Degree from a community college last year and decided to transfer to UNT, however, I now feel like UTD would be a better school for me. After this semester, I will have completed 72 credit hours. I checked the transfer requirements on the UTD website and I do meet the minimum GPA requirement for the amount of hours I have earned. However, I am mainly concerned about having attempted over 90 hours, which would mean that I would have to be reviewed for admission as opposed to getting accepted automatically. I am curious if I would still have a chance of getting accepted, having completed an Associate’'s Degree and meeting the minimum GPA requirement for transfer applicants. I also included an essay with my application, so I wondering if that would help my chances as well.

So how many hours have you attempted?
