I applied to CMU RD, and I want to major in math. However, I’m also interested in studying cognitive science, which I indicated on my common app by saying my second major choice is psychology (cognitive science wasn’t an option). Now, when I looked at the application portal, I saw that it meant I technically applied to MCS and DC, as my first and second choice, respectively.
How likely is it that I would be accepted to DC instead of MCS? (1520 SAT: 740 R 780 M, 770 Math II, 570 Physics, 4.45 GPA)
If I was accepted to DC instead of MCS, would it be difficult to pursue an additional degree in math?
Not sure if “cognitive science” is the same as “neuroscience” but it seems to be a joint program between both your colleges of interest:

Also, you should be able at least to minor in math from DC.
