Im a Junior at a university in Louisiana and am going to apply to the University of Texas at tyler. I plan on making a trip next week to talk to an admissions counselor but I was hoping I might get some of my questions answered before I go so I have a better idea of what to expect. Here are the questions I have written down so far that I want to ask, if you have the answer to any of them please let me know.

-I have a GPA of 2.09, your transfer admission requires a 2.0. Does this mean I am essentially guaranteed acceptance?
-Would it be better to do the application in person or via the web?
-I have read something about a 100 mile waiver for Texas schools that border another state within 100 miles a transfer student can obtain in-state Tuition. Is this still in effect? If not are there any other ways I may get in-state tuition? Some factors that may be put into this are that I used to be in the Air Force but was discharged after a few months for an injury that happened during training, and also my parents have owned property in Texas for over a year, but they do not live there.

-Also any other info about UTTyler that anyone has to offer would be great.

These are just a few of the questions I would like to get a heads up on. Thank you for the help any of yall have to offer!!
