I am currently in the process of applying to Virginia Tech's HNFE school and just had a few questions reguarding how competitive the program was, etc.

I know obviously that getting into VT is no walk in the park, but i am just starting the fourth semester here at the community college where i live and am beginning to apply to VT and possibly a few other schools. I currently have a 3.5 GPA. I would be the first generation in my family going off to a four year school.

My question though is that i still have one more math, and one more chemistry left to take. Im taking the math in the summer reguardless whether or not i get in, but that would still leave me being one class short of my associates, and of course it has to be one of the most important classes...So i guess im just wondering if this is enough for the board to deny my acceptance since im still two classes shy of my associates degree. Two pretty important classes at the least. Im kind of kicking myself in the butt right now.

All replys are much appreciated.
