Applying

Just a general q here. Princeton say that as soon as u matriculate at another school you are considered a transfer applicant and so can't apply for admission cos they don't offer transfer admission. My q is, if ve matriculated in a school in California, how will Princeton know that I've matriculated somewhere else already? Not planning on doing this btw just wanted to know hahaha

If you are asking whether there is some central database to which Princeton has access to see if you were enrolled at another college, the answer is no. To accomplish what you are suggesting you would have to intentionally lie on your application and conceal the information. You will likely also have to lie when they ask what you have been doing since high school, such as in an admissions interview, since you would be out of high school at least a year before applying (what are you going to tell them, that you have been doing nothing for a year, in which case you will probably get rejected). You will also need to hope your high school is not aware of your going to college because Princeton might request info known to it. You also would have a 'forever" problem if you are admitted. If Princeton ever learns the truth, it will have the right to expel you and the right, after you graduate, to withdraw your degree.

Wow thats hella crazy. Wouldn’t be able to live with that!

Actually, Princeton could find out pretty simply: [National Student Clearinghouse](http://www.studentclearinghouse.org/).
