So now I can't apply?

Hi guys, need your help on this one.
I am an international student that was considering to apply to Princeton. However, I just read that you could not apply to Princeton if you already had started a college somewhere else. Last year I studied a bit at a college in my home country, just for fun. My goal has always been to study in the USA. Thus it seems as I can't apply?

Or what would you recommend? There isn't really a way for them to know whether or not I have enrolled in a college in another country, right? Should I aplly anyway and hope for the best? Any advice or comment would very appreciated.

I think you need to email an admissions officer on this one. Tell him/her honestly what you studied and why and find out whether you can still apply.

Thanks for replying pipmom!
E-mailed the admissions office earlier today so now I'm eagerly awaiting a reply. Fingers crossed.

Don't expect too much - I asked two questions and all I got back was those robot written questions, even though my questions were not answered AT ALL by them. No respect.

Itzhak, taking a few classes at another university won't prevent your being allowed to apply to Princeton. I believe the rule is simply that you cannot have enrolled full time in a degree-granting program at another university.

Kembons, I'm sorry to hear you had a bad experience in submitting questions to the Admissions Office. I don't believe that your experience is the norm and I would try again if I were you.
