April 1 admissions

For schools with April 1 admissions, when would one expect to see a financial aid package?

Some schools send the admissions and financial aid information togeher, others send the FA information a day or 2 later.

Good luck

what about feb 1 admission? should we expect it still in april?

Sybbie,

Thank you. I was under the impression that admissions needs to decide whether a student is accepted, before financial aid looks at the student's profile and fafsa. Assuming this is true, how do they get the aid package out with the decision, or a couple of days after the decision?

At schools that are need blind, the admissions and financial aid departments do not even share the same office space. Usually admissions will send the list of student whom they have admitted to FA, then the aid package will be worked out.

Regarding the Feb.1 admission, you really need to go back and look at your school's policy, IF the Feb 1 is for EA, rolling or interim decision, you may end up getting the FA package in April. If you have applied ED II, you probably will get the package with your admissions or a day or 2 later.

I knew that. That is why I am pleasantly surprised to hear that the financial part comes with, or a couple of days after acceptance.
