What answer choice was 16?

18 doesn’t go into 80 though so how can that be the answer?

B/G i think

What answer choice was (a+b) is less than 1? It was the last question.

No, it was 18.

If you have area 80 and a 4:1 ratio, then 4x(x)=80. 4x^2=80, 80/4=20. Answer is the square root of 20, or 2 root 5, which when multiplied by four is about 17.8, rounding to 18.

@highteeld
it said -4 tho, so
3^(-)4 is 1/81
Answer for the log question was 3 rite?

YES 10char

whoops, misread the question

Is it just me or were many of the answers on the Math section letter D.

18 = the area of the rectangle. The ratio = 4:1. That means a number, n, times 4n = 80. Solve for n, and multiply by four to find the larger side…

The area was 80 :)

Oh my god I totally love you guys, reading over these has given me some confidence.

What was up with this Lake problem? I remember it was with a guy J… they didn’t really put a marking on the diagram to show where he initially started, but they did say he was perpendicular to the tree or something. I think they asked for the opposite side, and the long leg was 100units. So you would use tan right?

*Here is a picture:

Does anyone remember the answer they got? I don’t remember the angle given either… it was like… 42? idk…

47 was the answer.

that’s what i put

what about the circle question? Where it said the circle was 17 units. C was 2 units clockwise A, B was 9 units counterclockwise A, D was 9 units clockwise A? ahhh help! thanks

Thanks bio1995 & ahaimoud94! That answer sounds familiar.

Does anyone remember the answer to the sector problem? I think you needed to find the arc length. It said the circumference of the circle was 60, and it was looking for the arc length and it gave you 144º.

I used a formula like, S=(144/360)(60)=24… I didn’t remember that formula and totally guessed! ;_;

premed1994, I got ACDB. yes, I think i remember correctly…

oh also, for the 80 as area one, are you guys SURE it was area and not perimeter?

because i read that a few times, and I’m pretty sure it was perimeter

yup 24 was right

I think that problem was like a 3 part problem? One of the questions it asked you for perimeter, then it asked you for area…?

ok the rectangle one was 18…the area was 80 and the dimensions of the rectangle were 18:4.444444.
