April 2nd and no word!!!

So am I the ONLY applicant left waiting to hear from Chapman???
What is the deal? Does anyone know by what date all Chapman decisions will have been handed down?
Given that it is 4/2, should I contact my Admissions Counselor?
I thought 4/1 was like some national decision day thing... is that incorrect?
THANKS!

I’m pending still…

Thanks for letting me know I’m not the only one!

me too…they should have given us answers by now…

Well, their Admitted Students Day isn’t until 4/24, I believe, so it is still possible to be accepted in time to attend. With that said, I really would like more than ONE WEEK to make my final decision!!!

some of my friends have already gotten acceptances from chapman, maybe two three weeks ago? I called and they said since I was applying for art, my application is reviewed a lot differently, obviously, but I doubt all of you guys are doing art. What’s going on! I thought they had to at least update webadvisor by April 1st?

I called yesterday and they said that you should receive your decision in the next two weeks and to keep checking the webadvisory. (I’m applying to the DodgeCollege if that makes any difference.)

I’m only applying for the English dept., so nothing extra involved there.
I guess it will be here when it is here… just good to know that I’m not the only one that hasn’t received a decision.

anyone have decision completed and not get anything in mail yet? applying in Biology.

decision pending i applied bio and sent everything back in january it has said file complete, decision pending since jan 26th -_-

Jelly,
I applied in graphic arts early action and didn’t hear until mid-march. they just have had an enormous number of applicants apparently. (I got in…)yay

Ive pretty much accepted that I didnt get in even though Chapman was my number one.
Guess its on to choice number three, MSU! lls.
Got into three, four, and five, but not one and two. :(

Well. I applied for Theatre and chose the last audition date/time possible.
So a tiny, teeny part of me still has hope that they havent got to mine yet.

@ socalrcm : If you have decision complete, I’m sorry to say it… but I think it means you got rejected… :frowning:

If you read previous posts, you’ll see that’s what everybody said :(

To BrookeDavis: Where are the previous posts that indicate that “decision complete” signals a rejection?

filmparent, I just witnessed a situation where the “decision complete” was a rejection in the mail about 9 days later…

Chapman admissions denies this, but it seems it is what it is…

I’m just an accounting major and no reply yet either. Wondering if I could even afford to go now if I’m a “remainder” and there is no scholarship money or not enough.

That is a concern of mine, workworkwork…
Since no decision either way yet, I’m thinking perhaps a waitlist situation? If so, in the RARE event my name would come up, I’d be concerned that the aid award will not be what it would have been had I been admitted through the regular channels. I am waitlisted for LMU and that’s why I’ve been thinking about this.

@Babyboo2 - Wow, that’s pretty late for early decision. Most people heard in late December - February. Congrats!! Hope to see you on campus!! (If I get in…)

@JohnAdams12 and BrookeDavis
There are plenty of people who had decision complete and were accepted soon after. Though decision complete seems to have a much smaller acceptance rate than decision pending.

jellly -
So “decision pending” isn’t a good sign? Mine has said that since 2/5! At this point, since the decisions were supposed to be out by 4/1 (isn’t that right?), I am figuring it is a “no” or a waitlist at best. I’ve already got my paperwork, etc., ready to go for the school I will be attending if this doesn’t come through, so I don’t have high hopes… I just would’ve thought that if they weren’t taking me, why wait so long to give the decision, and if they are, again, why so long to tell me? That is why I’m thinking possible waitlist at this point… that is what happened to me for LMU. Has Chapman even sent waitlist notices that you’ve heard of… or has everything been either “in” or “not”???
