April ACT harder than February ACT?

Was it just me, or what?

I didn't feel as sharp mentally today as I did back in February.

In Feb I got a 26 overall composite (31 English, 22 Math, 28 reading, 23 Science), and this time I was hoping to get a 28 overall.

English was easy, so I'm thinking a 33-34 on that because I may have made the usual dumb mistake. Math wasn't too bad. The first 40-45 were good, but as usual, I struggled w/ the last 15. I'm thinking in the range of 25-27. For reading, the first section was tough, but not too bad other than that. I'd say a 26-28. Science...the first 25 were a breeze. The last two passages were rather difficult though. I'd say a 25-27.

After my Feb ACT I felt very confident, and I thought I possibly made a 28 (but, like I said, I made a 26). This time I don't feel so confident, and I'm not so sure I even improved my score.

Any of you ever felt you didn't do so well, yet were surprised at how well you actually did when you received your scores?

I thought the reading and science were harder, the math was the same/maybe a little bit harder, and the english was much easier.

By writing you mean English?

The actual writing prompt was easy. Last time I wrote about 1.75 pages, this time I wrote a couple of lines on the third page w/ time to spare, but nothing else came to mind. I'm thinking a 10-12 on the writing.

my essay went to the first couple lines of the fourth page. im just worried whether theyll be able to read it or not. :/

Did you have trouble time wise on any section(s)?

i finished english w/20 minutes left, math w/3, reading w/5, and science w/2.

So what score do you expect to get?

And if you took it prior to this, what did you get last time?

wow michelle, I thought english was easy, but you finished pretty fast!

i havent taken it before. im hoping for 34+ but im expecting at least 30/31.

Well, if you had so much time to spare, I'm sure you easily got a 30/31, congrats!

I am really nervous to see what I got this time around.

I pray for a 28, but I don't feel I'll get it.

thanks, ib. but i really need higher than that if i want a scholarship.

Where are you looking to go to school, Michelle?

I need a 28 minimum.

I said you could easily get a 30/31, so I don't think a 34 is unreasonable.

lol nowhere yet. but just for the future.

I'm not confident about how I did this time. I took it for the first time back in February and scored a 32. I did some prep for this test and for some reason I feel like I did worse. I scored consistently on Science practice tests but I think I freaked out this time around. I didn't even finish. ARGH.

I think the math was easier though... not 100% sure either. Overall... I have absolutely NO idea if I'll do better this time. I'm just praying that I'll get up to a 33.

You're just like me, Xia.

I studied for this one, whereas I really didn't study the first time.

I made a 26 the first time, and I was hoping for a 28 this time. I'm really not all that confident, though.

Ah well. Guess I'll have to do some serious studying for the PSAE. And if that doesn't work out I'll just have to take it again in June.

20 hours of my life :)
