I mean, really, they tell us April Fools' Day?

Can you propose a better date?

(Incidentally, Marvin Gaye's dad shot and killed him on that day......He must have been rejected from every school....lol.....I'm sorry, Marvin.)

Hookem168, I hope for the best for you! Actually Yale's decisions will come out on the evening of March 31st, so we are spared from the April 1st phenomena.

Haha, here's the corrected e-mail inbox, hookem:

Message 1: Ehh... uhh... thanks, I guess, for applying. Your application will be yawn considered sigh... carefully... falls asleep

Message 2: Your Rejection

Alternate Message 2: Why on EARTH did you even bother applying?!?!?!?!?!?!

Well you at least get one brownie point for knowing that a howler is from Harry Potter.
But basically it's a letter that upon being opened jumps out of your hand, comes to life, and screams at you its contents in the voice of the sender and then proceeds to shred itself to bits in front of you. The envelope is bright red prompting its immediate recognition. Nothing pleasant is ever found in a howler. Nothing.

@ChandlerBing: Which part, the explanation or the video? My pleasure either way though :) haha. I am a HUGE Potterphile (not...creepily)

side note: I happen to agree fully. Again, I'm only a junior, but I have perused some of the other college forums around here and Yale is
a) the most active
b) the nicest and most helpful :)
Vanderbilt wins for most AWFUL, rude, and pessimistic people ever. That forum actually completely dissuaded the 1% of me that was considering applying there..
Vassar was very nice, but not as active, although they were very nice (and I'm going down to visit in the spring) and same for GW (about the niceness/visiting thing)
Although these decisions weren't solely based on the forum...but they do give you a sense for the types of people applying/going to some of the schools and having visited Yale/knowing people who go there I can definitely say that much of this forum accurately depicts the Yale campus atmosphere.

This was slightly longer and more ramble-y than intended 0:)

Haha, both :)
Potter rules, Malfoy drools, and yes, I'm very cool.
(what nowwww?)

Yeah, when I visited Yale I completely fell in love with it, it was AMAZING. But I'm really trying not to get my hopes up, Yale is so ridiculous to get into.
I'd rather go to Brandeis or Tufts than Vanderbilt... Vanderbilt is definitely not what I'm looking for in a college.
