So I got a 3 on Eng Language and Comp. and a 4 on AB Calc. I should be getting at least a 3 on the Eng Lit test and possibly a 3 on the calc BC test. I heard USC takes 3-5 for credit, so I could possibly be getting 16 credits, right? What does this do for me? Can I get out of GE classes, or does this just free up space for more electives?

AB Calc will let you pass out of your first Calc class (for engineering is MATH 126). AP English won't get you out of any GE classes or writing, but you do earn elective credit.

At least for California Community Colleges, you can take summer school before you start at USC and pass out of GE classes, but I don't know about MA community colleges.

The help that your transfer credits gives you really depends on your major. I transferred in 11 units, but none of it helped.

That whole math thing would be great if I were in engineering, but I'm going to be a CNTV major in critical studies, so I guess none of that helps. Oh well. As for massachusetts community college, I think I'd rather just work to help pay for USC then worry about that. But thanks for the suggestion and help.
