APs on official college transcripts

Hey all!

I am a college graduate hoping to apply to UCSF's entry level nursing program in the fall. One of the prerequisite courses is statistics, and I took AP stats in high school and passed the AP test, which counted for statistics at my university. The adviser at the school told me that it would be accepted as long as my transcript shows credit for the course from the AP test. The problem is, it does not show on my unofficial transcript for some reason. It is listed on my course history and it shows the college equivalent and being taken, but I need it to be on my transcript for credit. I asked the guy if there is a way I can submit my course history instead and still have it count, but I haven't heart back yet and I'll go crazy waiting all weekend - I really don't want to have to take it again, especially since the wait list I'm on is a mile long.
So, does anyone know:
Will it show up on my official transcript if it's not on my unofficial?
If I call my undergrad university, is there any way I can have them put it on the official transcript?
Or can I order an "official" course history to submit to UCSF to prove I got credit for it?

Thanks!

It’s probably on your official transcript, I can’t imagine why it wouldn’t be. If it’s not, it’s the university’s fault and they need to correct it. Won’t know if its on there until you call and ask.

I don’t think this “course history” thing is going to suffice.

Pick up the phone and call your undergraduate college/university, and request that a copy of your official transcript be sent to you. Take a look at it, and see how the AP credits are recorded. If you don’t understand it, call the registrar’s office and ask them to explain their policy about this particular AP exam.

Sometimes transfer credits and credit by exam are recorded as fulfilling a degree requirement without any credit being awarded. This may be your the policy at your undergrad institution.

Thank you for the replies. I don’t know why it wouldn’t be either, but I’ve heard that unofficial and official transcripts are the exact same except for the “official seal.” I will call my undergrad university on Monday and hopefully sort everything out.
