I didn't have time to read most of this thread so I don't know if this has already been said, but I really don't think you should self-study an exam in a month. You will definitely forget everything 2 weeks to a month after the exam, and it would thus serve you no use.

If you end up actually self-studying, I don't think you should use the marks you get for college credit, because, like I said before, you probably will forget most of what you learnes. That way, you might not be ready for an advanced class.

This is just my opinion, and you can take it seriously or not, but, either way, good luck!

NYJunior- My school figured that if you're smart enough to take calculus at all, you might as well go for it. A few years back, you had the choice in senior year between Calc AB and Calc BC, but now the Calculus teacher teaches 4 hours of Calc BC.

Psychology would be really easy, I had a horrible teacher and only prepped for a week and passed. Gov can also be done, it is only a semester class at my school.

What about economics? Is it easy? Not that I really care if it's easy, I am going to take it next year anyways because I am kind of interested in economics (especially modern theoretical economics with game theory, though I doubt that will be a part of the curriculum).

IMO, U.S. History is the most difficult of the history APs, because it's a short time span with lots of detail. I think this is the order of difficulty for history:

U.S. History > Euro History > World History

I took World History without taking the class, and I read some textbooks/review guides about a month before the exam. On the multiple choice part, I think I got every question I answered right, and I actually knew what I was doing on the essays... I got a five in the end. Shows you how easy World History is, haha. It's probably because it's so broad and based on common sense. And there's an SAT II in the subject.

I would not, however, take Econ self-study. It can get pretty complicated in the later parts of macro, and parts of micro are REALLY dry and hard to concentrate on. I wouldn't say it's particularly difficult... just hard to self-study.

actually u could technically still sign up for APs:
"Schools in the U.S., U.S. territories, and Canada have an ordering deadline of April 13, 2007. The late ordering deadline for all other schools is April 6, 2007. Orders placed after these deadlines incur a $50 late order fee."

but i guess it kind of depends on ur school's AP coordinator
