I did all the essays pretty well and wrote eloquent, good points (somewhat short–about 1.5-2 pages long each, but pure gold). I didn’t use ANY specific examples, however. At all. Nil. Pretty much no name dropping either unless it happened to come up in the natural course of my essay.

What kind of grade can I expect on those? I think I got about 75% right multiple choice so I’m hoping I could still be in 5 range.

I don’t think it matters too much if you don’t refer to specific elements, either because you forgot what they were called or whatever. As long as you get in the general idea of what such and such person did or what happened at an event i think you will be fine. By the way this answer was based on the fact that you are talking about either the dbq or question four.

My goal for this AP is 5. I’ll be shocked if I don’t get a 4. My outside info for the DBQ wasn’t the greatest, because all the outside info came to my mind when I was already on the conclusion LOL> so I had to move on. You only need like 61+ MC and a 6-7 on essays to get a 5. I’m hoping for a 5, but i’ll surprised if I don’t get a 4…even a low 4.

All you need to pass this test is about 25-30ish MC questions right, and skip the rest. And have 5’s on all the essay’s.

(depending on what the minimum score for a 3 is.)

I sort of think that’s dumb lol.

BUT at the same time, I love the grading system.
I’m pretty sure I got about 35-40 right, 25 skipped (I didn’t finished the last 10 because of time)

and the DBQ I got about a 5 due to the lack of outside information.

essay 3 I got about a 5 - not weak, but not strong. Like making 1/2 freethrows in basketball. It’s like “ehh, at least I got something”

essay 5 I got like a 6 - I got in some pretty good outside info

So long as you have other sufficient information, incorrect stuff is just disreguarded in FRQs right? For ex, if you talk about something out of the time frame without noting you do so, or not relating it to what your supposed to talk about. Like if you talk about something in Great Awakening for 1630-1660…

In my opinion it was easier because I know nothing about the vietnam war lol. I always seem to not pay attention when that part of history comes.
But I like wars, so i bet if I had studied it, it would have been easier then the puritan dbq.

@Arthua, as long as you know you used a good amount then you’re fine. I actually almost forgot to cite the sources after one of my paragraphs (I hate citing right after every sentence) but I wrote them on the remaining lines and drew an arrow.

I used docs A,B,C,F,and J maybe one more but I can’t remember exactly. And wrote a pretty good essay off those, (I half bs’ed), you should be fine.

falselife: that’s intresting. i did questions 2 and 4, and atleast in question 2 i found that there weren’t really that many specific events or people that needed to be refered to. I’m not sure about question five because i kind of don’t know what happened during that time period…

My teacher thought the DBQ was gonna be on the triangular trade.

I was thrown through a loop by the DBQ at first, but once I got into it, it was fine. The 2 options for the first FRQ i thought were both ridiculously easy - i read the second one and immediately came up with a ton of ideas. But then came the second FRQ. OMG. I had literally NO IDEA what to write for EITHER of them. So I wrote #4. And it was crap. But I totally raped MC (1 blank, 10 iffy), so I’ll hopefully get a 5.

My teacher actually guessed right (sort of), she said the DBQ never had a topic on immigration and to take that under consideration. She got the DBQ wrong but essay 5 had immigration in it. So I applaud her for that.

MC- I got about 60 or so right, iffy on 10-15, skipped the rest

DBQ- At first I was thinking “***”, but then I thought up a pretty damn good essay and used all but two of the documents. I used alot more time than I should have for the DBQ. But I felt that I got a solid 7-9.

FRQ’s.- I did 2 and 5. I started doing 3 but realized that I forgot what years what happened, so I switched to number 2. I did amazingly well and am pretty sure I got a 9 on that one. When I looked at 4 and 5, I had no idea about either one. I had a little info for 5 so I just b.s’d 2 solid pages of info. I probably got anywhere from a 2-5 on that one.

Hopefully by some crazy chance I get a 5, but I’ll be surprised if I don’t get a 4.

Hey i was wondering if this would cause a problem, the proctor accidently threw away my exam question sticker( the sticker with the bar code that you put on the front of the FRQ that states which two questions you chose to answer) with the clear things the booklets came in. So I used my friends sticker, since he wasn’t using it. Do you think this will cause problems scoring my exam?

Not so bad!
MC= moderate
Finshed with 30 minutes to spare…checked my answers…calculated how many i could have possibly missed…took a nap…woke up…planned out two hypothetical essays…
DBQ= killed it 7+ for sure, wrote I SEE YOU and crossed it out
Frq#2= easy!!!
Frq# 4= mediocre…i couldn’t really remember any specific names…
had two minutes, just enough time to draw a penguin waering a top hat and bow tie with a thought bubble that said " I’m a penguin wearing a top hat!"
then wrote hope this cheers you up! thanks!
