Hey i just got the AMSCO book from amazon. i ordered it on mon./tue. and got it today but i paid for fast shipping. i wish i would have known that i could get it cheaper from buying from the AMSCO company. Well i was flipping through the book and i notice that there is no answer key to the review questions. does anyone know where i could get the answer key?

^ Search for “answers to amsco” on this forum. There’s a thread somewhere that has links to the answers.

thanks everyone :] I’ll order it today!

^^^ yay!!! thanks, i needed these! :D

If my class is still doing the New Deal, how screwed are we?

^ Extremely

The entire year our APUSH teachers have been assigning us approximately 20 pages of textbook reading per day and supplemental reading on a CD. And that’s in addition to essays we have to write in response to powerpoint presentations. And we have crazy research projects. Nobody ever does all of it, haha. But seriously, it’s ridiculous. Well, time to buckle down and study.

But the good news is we’ve covered material all the way up to Clinton.

^^ Yeah, you’re screwed. I think you’re better of independently studying by yourself now.

We just entered Vietnam I believe, ch.28 or something in our book.

Instead of going with the class, I decided to just finish the book off (31 chapters). I will finish 31 today. I will now have way more time to prepare thoroughly and concentrate on the test as a whole.

We are starting on the Roaring 20s…

Independent Study FTW!

Yeah I’m going ahead too. In class we’re doing the Cold War, but I’ll be done with the curriculum tomorrow.

we’re in civil rights, heading into nixon

but i started reviewing sunday, reading about 30 pages a day from amsco

yeah, we’re on civil rights too.

but holy f.u.c.k., how the hell am i expected to keep up with school work AND go back to reviewing ush 1. not to mention prepare for biology & psych, as well. we get assigned enough homework/i manage my time horribly every night as it is. i wish we could have progressed quicker, finishing the curriculum, so as to have a full few weeks before the ap tests to dedicate solely to preparing for them. now i need to start studying like a maniac, ■■■.

anyone else feel completely over-whelmed? :(

i know what you feel like
i made a schedule of what i need to review
i went through my review books and split all of my review load up
and i take about an hour a night to review

so its one less hour on the computer, or watching tv
i’m taking 5 btw

I despise my APUSH teacher but am very grateful right now. We’re on spring break and are reading the last chapter of our textbook as homework.

…knock on wood…

it seems like i’m the only person here who haven’t really started studying for APUSH lol
I’m gonna use the AMSCO book, do you guys just read and highlight it?
Or do you guys take notes or something?
Would it be too inefficient if I take notes on the book, if I have only like 2-3weeks left before the exam?

For everyone stressing over how behind their classes are, I guess it’ll make all of you feel better to know that my class just started on the progresive era. I’m not joking. This is how terrible our teacher is: we spent half a month doing a stupid project for Lincoln’s birthday, and now we’re only two-thirds done with the course.

My class is on time this year. We just finished with civil rights and are finishing the modern era next week. When I took AP Euro last year, we had just gotten to nationalism in Eastern Europe (late 1800s) by this week.

My class is wrapping up on the Clinton era.
