we’re in the middle of WW2 right now.
aaah how i love hawaii public schools.

For people studying from AMSCO, is it efficient enough to just read every chapter and do the quizzes at the end of each chapter, or should I take notes while reading each chapter?

i read the chapter and highlight important things so i can go back and read it later. but then again everyone’s different.

I’m reading amsco right now and also looking through packets our teacher gave us. and my friend’s giving me some flashcards she used last year.

Quick question: how helpful is the crash course book? and if you already have amsco, do you really need the crash course book?

Now we’re on the last 2.5 chapters-- 40 & 42 (am pageant).

My class finished American Pageant in the end of March/beginning of April. Now it’s cram mode and so we have to consolidate all our chapters and write a DBQ or FRQ every night. It’s a ton of work, but I think I’ll be pretty prepared. Fortunately I have an amazing teacher, so I’m not going to bother with anything like AMSCO.

I’m on Civil War chapter in AMSCO I hope I could finish it this coming Wednesday, then go over the highlighted stuff and look at Crash Course and Ultimate Study guide…
Is this sufficient to get at least a 4???

My class just finished American Pageant on Friday (yes, a little late). In the meantime I have read REA, taken 8 practice tests (I still have three more…somewhere), but I need to review some of the shady areas in the text book (wars are my weak spots) and go through my personal notes. I’ve reached the point that I just want to have the test over with.

@smileeLv–if you are retaining all the information, then that should be fine. I heard AMSCO is great and Crash Course (which I have) and the Ultimate Study Guide (which I also have) should be a really good overview for the big stuff. I’m sure you’ll do well.
