For the 2006 exam, you needed the following to get a 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5…
5: 106-180 points
4:85-105 points
3:68-84 points
2:47-67 points
1: 0-46 points (I think I MIGHT be able to get this…)

However, I saw somewhere that the curve is a bit harder now, so I’d aim for 80 points to ensure a 3.

This is how you do it:

Take your multiple choice score, subtract the # of answers you got wrong over 4, and multiply that by 1.125.

Take your 2 FRQ scores, and multiply them by 2.75

Multiply your DBQ score by 4.5

Add them all together to get your final score.

So, for example, if you got 50 right on the multiple choice and got 30 wrong, you would subtract 30 divided by 4 from 50, which would be 50-30/4=42.5 (I think they round it up to 43, not sure)

Then if you got two 5s on the FRQs, and a 5 on the DBQ, you follow the method:
(52.75) +(52.75)+(5*4.5)=50

Then you add the 50 with 42.5 and get 92.5 which rounds up to 93…so with 50 multilpe choice right and three 5s you’ll get definitely a 3 and probably a 4.

At least, this is what I think, if I"m wrong someone please let me know…
