Did 2 and 4, thought both were just right in terms of difficulty

2 was decent, it allowed for a fairly good brain dump, especially since most of the times I study that's about as far as I get.

Here's my APUSH story:

took the class last year, but thought taking 4 AP tests in 3 days was too much, so I only took chem, bio, psych

then this year I realize it's worth 6 credit hours at IU if I get a 4, so I figure I should take it (in addition to 9 others, but that's another story)

soooo ya know I start reading PR last night (haven't done anything APUSHy in over a year) and fall asleep after reading about the American Revolution

sure enough, the essays I did (2 and 4) involved the colonial BS I studied last night, the Civil War/Reconstruction stuff anyone can do, esp. with some nice court cases from AP gov thrown in there, and then honestly who doesn't know enough about Vietnam to write a competent DBQ? Those documents were perfect too

Yesssssss

i did 3 and 4
i totally screwed up on 4.
but my DBQ was flawlessly answered.
it was godsend when i saw the DBQ prompt, i literally screamed YES!!

I did 3 and 4. We spent a lot of time on those topics in class, so I think I did fairly well.

Aced the DBQ, 8/9 or 9/9 im almost positive.

I did 2 and 5. 2 I just kind of rambled and threw in facts, and 5 i made sound excellent but i think it was slightly offtopic.

whatevs i think i def got a four and quite poissible a 5

Did 2 and 4

MC: Probably got about 65-70 right
DBQ: I thought I did well. I took and honors class instead of an AP class, so we never practiced writing any of the essays.
2: totally ****ed up
4: Decent, I figured out what I was trying to say half way through it and then tried to support it.
Overall: probably a high 3 to low 4

Does College Board take off for spelling?

I don't think the college board would take off for minor spelling mistakes in a history exam, but if they are egregious it probably adds points towards "incomprehensibility."

Any more thoughts on the horrendous FRQ's

how bad is it if i mixed up "hacienda" with "enconmienda" ?????

What are u talking about???

Did anyone pick #4 and if so what sub topics did u chose and what details did u use to support it???

in the spanish/indian relations one...i said they enslaved them in the hacienda system instead of enconmienda system

oh i have no idea what ur talking about. we rushed through the colonial period lol

lulu, that should be fine. i mentioned both thought i made a distinction :) and i looked up the term for #4 right now...on wikipedia, i feel like my definition would be equally as valid..what did you guys say the new south was?

i just thought it was that southerners wanted to change the south and i said that nothing changed in terms of politics and race relations.
What subtopics did u guys pick for #4 and what details did u use.

politics- after carpetbaggers left no black participation in gov. Grandfather clause, poll tax, ect kept blacks and poor whites from voting. many politicians racist/ part of kkk. southerners never waiverd from democratic voting until thrumond as a dixiecrat= still sectional
Race realtions- kkk, jim crow, force act, klan act, sharecroppers/tenant farmers=still slaves

i'm a sophomore in highschool
i thought the dbq was really easy
i chose 3 and 4 for the free responses also
i thought both were hard and i did really bad
and am not confident at all at my score
but this was my first advanced placement class and test
and this test was the hardest, most important and most stressful test i have taken in my life until i take the SAT
but i took this class all year since i keep reading that you guys took this class in one semester
idk how you could do that
i barely got through the course alive in two semesters

i didnt kno wat a market revolution was so i had to go with the american indian which i bombed lol

i had no idea what market revolution was either, but i had absolutely no idea about indains. i just guessed i hope i did it right

Yea...I had no idea about the market revolution (apparently it was the industrial revolution). I decided to bs the whole American Indians essay but I'm so happy my guesses turned out to be right!

If they said industrial revolution, I would've aced that thing. Instead I chose the other prompt, which I did mediocre at best.
