What are the most significant presidencies?
Why was the Vietnam War caused?
What are the most significant court cases?

Vietnam: Communist Containment. “Domino Theory” right?

Most significant presidencies? Lincoln, Nixon, FDR, Regan, Washington, Jefferson seem to be pretty important to me.

Most significant court cases? Marbaury v. Madison. Brown v. Board of Education. Dred Scott. More that I can’t think of off the top of my head.

I would add Plessy v. Ferguson to court cases. Maybe Wilson and TR for presidencies.

As far as presidents, I think they’ve already hit all the most important presidents… Maybe add Hoover to that list. (the ones pretty much guaranteed a question on the AP)

For presidents, there’s usually just one fact about them that they looove to ask… Like for Johnson, they’d ask about the ‘common man’ president… Taft for Dollar Diplomacy… Lyndon for Great Society…etc.

Vietnam- Containment like Ronmator said…

Cases: Marbury vs Madison! Know Judicial review for that one! Dred Scott- know that they ruled him not being a citizen, so therefore he couldn’t even bring this case to court… Plessy v. Ferguson- segregation in railroads, i believe. ^.^

It’s also important to know Woman’s rights people… There’s usually at least a couple asking about them… (Elizabeth Cady Stanton especially!)

And books, for some reason are really important on the test…
