APUSH Self-Study

I really am hoping to self study apush and get a 5.
Is AMSCO enough for this, combined with the practice tests from PR?
Do I need to get the textbook, American Pageant I think its called, because it is really a hassle for me to order it and I would like to manage without it.
Please give me ideas/tips on how you self studied this course.

Yeah, you can manage using only AMSCO.

Seeing that AMSCO is used as a textbook in some classrooms, you should be fine. Try to purchase some previous real exams from the Collegeboard store as well to get a taste of the real thing.

Also try to utilize the course outline which the Collegeboard provides for every AP Exam, which can be found on AP central. Last but not least, just type in American Pageant chapter outlines on google and choose your favorite site :D

Good luck!

If you don’t want to get the textbook, you can get the supplement study guide to it. It’s called “FastTrack to a 5” (I think…) and it really helped me. Good luck!

Thanks everyone! I really appreciate it. I think I’ll go with AMSCO and later on go to the library to get other APUSH prep books and use the practice tests in those.
