I have to read one of these books over the summer, for people that have taken the class and/or read one of the book, which of these would you say would be most helpful for the class/exam?

Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee
Miracle at Philadelphia
1776

I’ve neither taken the class nor read the books, but just pick the shortest one if you have to write an essay or other assignment over it, or why not read all three if it’s just for reading purposes?

Bury my heart at winded knee is an amazing book, as is 1776. You can’t go wrong with either! I haven’t taken the class yet, so I don’t know what would be more helpful, but I would think that 1776 would be. Although, bury my heart at wounded knee was more interesting to me.

I haven’t read any of them (though I’ve taken APUSH) and I’d say Miracle at Philadelphia seems most helpful for the course, followed by Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee, followed by 1776–which is rather too specific and focused on military history and strategy to be very helpful in APUSH. However, it may be more important to read the book you find most interesting, because then you’re more likely to pay attention, remember stuff, and actually enjoy it! :)

^ The above nailed it. The Constitutional Convention is more prominent in the course and the test.
