Apush

next year (junior year) i am planning on taking ap bio, h english, h spanish, h latin, and h trig.
i am not sure about history though
our choices are apush (ap us history) or a/e.
i really dont like history and have heard from other people that apush is a really tough class with a lot of work. i know that a/e on the other hand is really easy and easy to get an a+ in. so i was wondering if its not that good to take a/e history instead of apush. i know that i would still get a better grade in a/e while putting in less effort that i would in ap but yet im not sure how colleges (thinking cornell as top choice) would view an a/e class junior year.
thanks!

what is a/e?

anyway, I think if it's not something you are interested in, then don't take it? Why kill yourself to do something you don't really care about.

APUSH is a hard class, and so is AP Bio (harder than APUSH... at least at my school), just remember to keep that in mind (unless you are one of those Science nuts... in which case you could probably manage)

a/e is accelerated/enriched
its like one level down from ap/h

ah, so I'm guessing that would be the same as an honors course for me. I'd suggest taking that. I know people who have gone into a class they don't like because it will look good and have done horribly because they just can't get themselves to see it as important.

If you don't like history, don't take APUSH. Being in an AP course won't look good if you do poorly grade-wise and on the AP test.

but the thing is im not bad at history - i have a high b+ low a- so far for the year in honors history us 1
so apush will kinda be the same thing?

take the lower level course. having an easier courseload in one class will allow you to focus more on your harder clases, and therefore get better grades in them. Therefore boosting your GPA, etc. It just will look better than taking APUSH and not keeping up in all your classes

but would it matter for colleges to see that i did not take that many ap classes and took a lower level class. because ive been on this board before and everyone ive seen who wants a chance at getting into a really good school (like i said my top choice is cornell) took all honors/ap that was offered at their school. im just scared if i drop down this will hurt my chances
