What are the class year restrictions on Elementary Arabic I?

I also need to know that.

priority in Elementary Arabic is given to sophomores and freshmen; space for seniors and juniors is very limited. Currently, there is a possibility that one section may have to be canceled, which will reduce space for upperclassmen even more. Consequently, we are not releasing any tickets for seniors until the situation is resolved and we know how many sections we can offer. Seniors who want to take ARAB 101, and anyone else who doesn't get a spot when their class year registers, may contact Lori Harris to get on a waitlist. Note also that the class is available in the summer session without restrictions.

TopGun,
It sounds like you're somewhat involved and have knowledge of arabic at Carolina. Do mostly natives take the language for an easy A? Exactly how challenging is arabic compared to an ordinary foreign language? What form of arabic is taught at UNC?

sorry, I have a lot of friends who take arabic, but I haven't been able to take a course. the information I gave you was from the department website.

from what my friends tell me its tough, but what do you expect its not a romance language. I've taken german and spanish here and I felt the language department did a great job in teaching. sorry i can't be of any more help
