Archaeology Programs and chances

I am looking for advice on good programs in archaeology and the chances of admittance. I have a BA in History with a minor in Anthropology from Wellesley College with a 3.22 GPA, low but close to the average at Wellesley. My GRE Scores are 157Q 156V 4.5AW. I have 5 years of Latin experience starting in High School and 2 years of Greek along with Italian proficiency and a basic understanding of German. I have done two summer field schools in Roman archaeology in Italy in concert with Oxford. I had full funding in my last graduate program and was a TA. I also volunteered as a docent in an archaeology museum in Italy while studying abroad. I did graduate studies at American Univerity in the Middle East but was forced to drop out due to the conflict in the region and was then immediately diagnosed with cancer.

While all is well now I find myself at a loss of where to reapply in the United States. My undergraduate professors are all from prestigious institutions and recommend top schools such as UPenn and Harvard but I fear that my GPA harms my chances of getting into these competitive programs. I know I want to do my PhD in archaeology but I am not sure which program. I want to get into the best program possible for me and if that means I need to aim lower or get my MA first than I will do whatever I can. However, my advisers always told me never to get your MA unless that was all you wanted so I am skeptical about going for an MA feeder program especially considering they almost never offer funding.

Other programs I am looking to apply:
UCL Institute of Archaeology (MA)
Kings College (MA)
UC Berkeley AHMA
UCLA
U of Chicago
possibly Bryn Mawr

Any advice would be helpful

IoSpero, I just sent you a lengthy private message.
