2 or 3 required?

Two are required. Used to be three, but not anymore.

Thanks. That’s what I though, but would it look bad to only send 2? Would it make one significantly less competitive?

^ Having three good scores is, of course, better than having two good scores. However, the requirement is merely for two, so one would expect that a sizable majority of the applicants will send no more than two and that those people would not be significantly disadvantaged.

I agree with silverturtle. My advice would be to take several SAT II exams (assuming time allows). If you have 3-6 (you can take three in each sitting), then you will be in a better position to select those with the best scores, be it three or four or five or six of them. Naturally, I am not advising this if it would impair your ability to prepare for exams, but, assuming adequate preparation, it puts you in a good position.
