does harvard need 2 SAT IIs or 3? I thought it was 3 until i read a post saying the requirements had been lowered.....

harvard.edu is your friend!

maybe it has to do with the fact that the SAT I now includes writing (which was a required SAT II before)... I haven't heard anything, though - just guessing...

Yes I am very uncertain. The same post also says that harvard will not mix-and-match sat scores, but I have emailed Harvard College to see if they can confirm this fact. But according to Byerly Harvard will look at the highest SAT score if you take it more than once; I PMed him a couple hours ago.

wasn't it 3?

I thought they still required 3 SAT II's?

harvard.edu is your friend

Amnesia oo; Havard.edu is your friend?

no, but he sure knows more than us.

It's Three. i heard from a harvard person at a college fair.

:] Amnesia, you're almost 500! One more post...!

AAB123 & anyone else, Does harvard still mix SAT scores from seperate sittings?

is it okay to take the sat 1 three times? poo

When I went to an admissions info. session last summer, they said they do mix SAT scores, and I believe they are for the new SAT too

the post i read said a harvard rep at a college fair said 2....thats why im not sure....the site obv still says 3

Which standardized tests does Harvard require?

Our testing requirements will change with the introduction of the new SAT I. For the Class of 2010, students may submit either the "old" SAT I or ACT taken before March 2005, or the new SAT or ACT (which must include the writing section). As always, students must also submit three SAT II exams of their choosing. The Admissions Committee will continue to consider all test results in light of students' educational opportunities.

If a student takes the required tests more than once, which results does Harvard consider?

We consider a student's best test scores, but it is generally our experience that taking tests more than twice offers diminishing returns.

who would want to go to Harvard? I'm not applying becaus I don't want to be accepted.

so are we certain that they won't sub the new sat writing as an old sat ii writing? there was talk of this early last year.

I want to goto Harvard, 2 of my next door neighbors are enrolled there and my sister is. Though I want to go there for completely different reasons then they chose it. I jsut enjoy the atmosphere and somewhat laid back attitutde from the people I've met.

amnesia - who wouldn't want to go to harvard...its the best school in america (in my opinion) - just being lucky enough to get that education would make it worthwhile.....
