Are admissions apps and scholarships apps reviewed by the same committee?

<p>Hey everyone. I'm applying for the UCB Leadership Award and Achievement Award Scholarships. I'm wondering if there are separate admissions and scholarship committees or if there is just one committee that reviews both types of apps. The reason I'm wondering is because I want to use the same essay topic in my scholarship app that I used already in my normal UC app.</p>

<p>Probably not. No one on here would know for sure. Unless they’re on the admissions committee but even if they were, they probably wouldn’t tell anyone.</p>

<p>They’re two different departments but I know for a fact that you get recommended for a scholarship by the admissions committee for at least three scholarships (Opportunity, Regents, Chancellors).</p>

<p>For leadership award, yes there’s a separate app. not sure about regents and all that.</p>

<p>@VirologyNerd: The Achievement and Leadership awards are administered through the Cal Alumni Association. It is not affiliated with the admissions department.</p>
