We took a tour today and really enjoyed the beautiful campus, but were really let down when we were able to tour Barclay and go by the apartments. Neither looked very nice at all.........Are all dorms that bad? Thanks!

There a couple of new freshman dorms…

We saw the 2 new dorms. They are supposed to be ready for the new school year. We were told just one of them would be for freshmen, so that is only a 1 in 4 shot at a decent living space…Such a disappointment…

We had the same reaction when we originally made our visit. Nonetheless. S ended up in the apartments. We were very disappointed. He, however, loved it and has elected to live there again. He was not alone. Apparently beauty is still in the eye of the beholder.

D also in apartments last year. Chose to stay there again this year, as did many of her friends. Many students seem to love the apartments. Just like any dorm room, the apartments are much more appealing when the students have an opportunity to make it their own with posters, bathroom gear, kitchen things, and their love of Haverford. Students love the school so much that the parents don’t seem to hear complaints about the housing.
