Are all my dreams end? How to get an engineering internship/job with low GPA

hey guys.I know Im dumb. So don't be harsh. Im an international student , currently doing Electrical/Computer engineering I have two more years until my graduation. This quarter I failed to two classe with D and It really stressed me out because my GPA is really below 2.5 right now. I know I will try my best to bull it up. My target is 3.2 on my graduation but will I be able to get a job with such low GPA with reatking some classes below a C . I want to stay in the US after my graduation.I also want to go grad school if I have a chance. Are all my dream end right now?At my school, only about 50 to 80 students graduate each year in EE and CPE major.Average GPA for engineerng at my school is about 2.7.PLease give me some advices.

you can definitely raise 2.5 above 3.0 within 2 years.

I agree, focus on school before you start looking for alternate methods of enhancing your resume etc.

Let’s see…You need an average of 3.2. So that’s
3.2x4=12.8

You current gpa is 2.4 at best. So that’s
2.4x2=4.8

12.8-4.8=8

You have two years to bring your total gpa to 12.8. You are 8 points away.

8/2=4

So, you need a 4.0 each yr to get to your goal. That’s a straight A average.

Better skip summer vacation and start studying.

P.S. All the arithmetic were done in my head in like 4 seconds. They might be wrong.

to raise 2.5 to 3.0 within two years, you only need to get 3.5 for two years

(assuming the same number of credits between first two years and last two years)

3.2 does indeed seem alot harder. if you take 50% more credits during the last two years, you can raise 2.5 to 3.2 by having 3.66 avg.

Actually I was a transfer student(I got 50 units and 3.6 when I transfer ) but I really don’t care because all of them are my general education and support- courses.Im worried about my GPA at my current school, I got 47 units right now.I will retake 7 units so I have 40 units. I still have 108 units to finish. Im taking some classes this summer though

get 3.5s for the last two years, and you’ll be fine. but do interns regardless, cuz they will really boost your resume, even WITH good grades
